No posts for March?  Oops.  But the radio stuff and the blog took up a lot of time.  Got a few interviews to get too here on the podcast.  But I'll have to record some voiceover for those.

Reason it had a lot of views, is a sad one.  That helicopter crash in Newfoundland.  I mentioned it and a song that was written about it by a friend of a victim.

So that drove a lot of traffic to the blog.  Lot of people were looking for that song.  Glad I was able to help people find it.

You can catch it Sunday, March 1st live on that website at 8:30pm NT/8pm AT/7pm EST.  CBC Bold shows it live, if you have that channel.  If not CBC has it on a tape delay at 11:30pm in Newfoundland, or 11pm in all other time zones.

Might be closer to fixing the iTunes issue.  If not I might have to remove the podcast from iTunes then submit it again.  Yes, that's annoying.  But the emails from Apple haven't helped much.  Last one just tried sending me back to the Apple.com forums.  Hello iTunes, if I'm contacting you that means the boards didn't help. LOL.

On the radio show I'll be playing an interview with Sora this week.  And playing her music.  There will be a podcast of that.  Probably similar to the DawgFM show by airing what was on the radio, but I'll add some things to it.

Finished an interview with Fergus O'Byrne which will air on the radio at a later date then in podcast form.  And taping another interview Friday night with Ray Johnson of Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers.

Who says February is a slow month?

Got rid of the saltwatermusic.net address, since it was another expense I didn't need.  Just pointed to the Libsyn site anyway.

But iTunes looks like it's having a problem finding it right now.  Reported it but might be a few days till that's fixed.  No new episode planned till the middle of the month so it should be back to normal by then.

Edited the radio show down to a podcast this week, planned on doing an hour of all blues but went much longer.  So these are some highlights from the show on Friday.  No intro to Episode 15, goes straight into the show.

Blues Music from the East Coast with Garrett Mason, Terry Whalen Band, Hot Toddy and Matt Anderson.

Show was in support of DAWG FM in Ottawa.  A blues station trying to get off the ground, but dealing with some CRTC headaches.  I mentioned the problems in December, before I knew one of guys from DAWG FM is a listener of Salt Water Music.  So all the more reason to put the word out.

Long story short was recording in November when a computer crash wiped out a few days of those files.  Recorded a day's worth then gave up on the November experiment.  Too busy.

I'll get an episode out sometime this week, might be short but at least something before 2008 ends.

Read about National Podcast Post Month or 'Napodpomo' which is an idea of having people podcast every day for the month of November.  So I'm doing something similar.  Recording every day, but not uploading.  Or else you might have a 2 minute podcast which seems a bit silly.  Instead a 43 minute podcast with some songs as well.

Beginning was recorded at the station and the rest at home. You can obviously hear the difference but a heads up.

Allison is playing a bunch of dates in November and December.  Closest to Kingston is Toronto on Friday, November 28th.  And an afternoon show in Ottawa on Sunday, November 30th.  Check the tour part of Allison's page for details.  She's also hitting Philadelphia, Massachusetts, New York City and 5 dates in British Columbia.

Also play some music from Andrea Wittgens.  She has a new CD coming out soon called "In The Skyline".  These three tracks are from her last album. Alibi was just an Afterthough, Did You Go Too Far and Aquarium.  Going to do an interview with Andrea soon, we're just waiting for the CD to be available for purchase online.  Good to get all the things in order so you can check out her music after I talk to her.

With grabbing a bunch of different audio files for this episode I'll cross my fingers there wasn't too many mistakes.  I even forgot a couple of things I talked about until I put it together.  So another episode or two this month, whenever I have enough for a good length.

Yes, the podcast is back after a little hiatus.  Working on 3 radio shows during the week and live football took up more time than I thought.

Little quiet on the podcast front lately.  Started doing the 2 hour radio shows so that took some up of my time.  Plus Queen's football starting too.  But I should get a new episode up in the next week.
